May 20, 2012 Whale Watch
We had a wonderful group of students and their teachers from New York join us for a whale watch on Wednesday afternoon. We typically don't post blog information collected from charter trips, but this charter group requested that we post some video and as well as photos from this amazing trip.
Our naturalist, Leah, did an incredible job narrating the trip and collecting information on the different humpback whales that we observed. Some individuals were feeding right next to the boat and our captain, Capt. Jonny, did an incredible job of putting us in the right location so we could just drift among the feeding individuals. At times, we had small groups of humpbacks feeding all around us. Hard to know where to look!
Were were able to identify many individual humpback whales including: Underline, Etch-a-Sketch, A-Plus, Ventisca, Ampersand, Anchor and her calf of this year, Centipede, Whiplash, and Division.
What a day! Leah will be sending photos soon!

May 20, 2012 Whale Watch
9 am and 2 pm Whale Watches - Krill
We had amazing trips on both our morning and afternoon whale watches. I am still working on the sighting report for this blog, but I did put together a short video from both our morning trip and our afternoon trip. Enjoy!
9 am whale watch - video clip
The start of this clip shows images of Provincetown taken as our boat came into the harbor to drop off some bicyclists. Then we were off to the whales.
